Altar Rosary Society

Meetings: Tuesday after the 1st Sunday of each month at 1 PM in the church

The Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph's is a group of ladies who meet in the church once a month for the recitation of the rosary, followed by Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Afterwards there is a brief business meeting and a social hour.

Altar Servers

Children are welcome to join our Altar Server Program. Typically, they begin in 4th grade as processional servers and graduate through the ranks (and years) to regular and senior servers.

Knights of Columbus

Knights of Columbus

Meetings: 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7:30 PM in the church basement

The Knights of Columbus is a group of Catholic men dedicated to remaining steadfast in their faith through mutual encouragement. More than 1.7 million men and 13,000 councils serve our Church. They are committed to Church, Community, Council, Family, and Youth. The Knights provide leadership and support to the parish and the pastor, as well as the community. Financial security is offered to members and their families through a fraternal insurance program.

Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary

Meetings: 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM in the church basement

The Ladies Auxiliary raises funds for charitable purposes.

Legion of Mary

Meetings: Each Wednesday at 8:30 AM in the church basement

Martha & Mary Group

This volunteer group is called upon to bake cakes for various parish events. It is a very helpful group that brings delight to all those they serve. If you would be willing to bake a cake once or twice a year, please call to join.

Nursing Ministry

The mission of St. Joseph's Parish Nursing Health Ministry is to promote health and wellness of Body, Mind, and Spirit to our parish community. The ministry is a team of parish volunteers who wish to serve the church community. The volunteers are health care professionals and lay members. They provide services such as health teaching, counseling, telephone support, referrals, assessment of physical, emotional and spiritual needs, coordination of transportation, blood pressure screening, volunteer training, coordination of meals, and support for caregivers. Services may be requested by calling the private, confidential number of 609-927-3568, option 8. A nurse volunteer will check the messages daily and respond within 24 hours.

RCIA

The RCIA process is an opportunity for instruction and spiritual transformation for any adult seeking a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition or full incorporation into the Catholic Church. Rosary-Making Club

Rosary-Making Club

The Rosary Club makes rosaries for the chaplain to bring to the patients at Shore Memorial Hospital and also to be sent to the missions in India and Uganda. The group meets twice a month (once during the summer) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the Parish Office building. The schedule is posted in the bulletin.

Social Committee

This group promotes and plans activities that encourage a spirit of community and provides hospitality for specific parish events. The Social Committee sponsors the annual parish picnic, a family event at Christmas and a spring social. Always looking for great ideas!

St. Joseph's Choir of Praise

St. Joseph's Choir of Praise

Meetings: Each Tuesday at 7:30 PM in the church

We sing for special liturgies like Christmas and Easter, and regularly twice a month at the 5:30 PM Mass on Sunday. Having vocal experience helps but is not necessary. If you have a heart for Christ, and want to sing His praises, you are welcome.

St. Joseph's Prayer Meeting

Meetings: Each Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the church

We pray in various ways as the Spirit leads: the rosary, spontaneous prayer, Scripture reading, charismatic prayer, healing prayer, inspirational readings. Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be a choir member to come.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Meetings: 1st Monday of each month at 4:00 PM in the church basement

The purpose of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is to provide direct aid to those who suffer in our parish. We help by paying for lodging for those in need (usually not more than 2 nights), rent, utility bills, and buying food, clothing, and medicine for our poor neighbors. We provide supermarket and fast food certificates and are actively involved our community food bank. Our clients are referred to us by the parish office or other agencies. We offer short-term help to those who find themselves temporarily at a hard place in their lives.

Youth Group

Meetings: 6:30-8:30 PM

The High School Youth Group meets on Sundays through the school year from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. We plan a variety of events, including gym nights, game nights, movies, and occasional outings. Each meeting includes time for prayer and brief catchesis.
